My chosen brief was to create a cover page, contents and double page of a new magazine called CMB (Country Music Board). I worked as individually to complete my coursework and I'm quite enjoy the process of the creation of my country genre magazine. My blog is best viewed using Google Chrome. Magazine Double Page Improvement 3

1.The headline of the article. The old one is"1995 BREAK UP THE SALES WEEK RECORD      SINCE 2003". It's really hard for readers know what the article is about in a jerk. So Sally advised me to change it into something can relate to my background with snow. At last we decide create the headline with a subhead"I MAY BE ICE COOL BUT MY NEW ALBUM IS REALLY HOT!--my second album smashed the record books! I think this headline is very individuation, so it not only can help me attract the readers but also let them know the theme of the texts.

2.Make my layout more professional:
  *Using warp text, make texts warp around the image
  *Adding a small image at the bottom.
  *Creating a sentence and put it in the middle of the texts.
  *Adding something like a tips with something can make the      
    readers look forward to it.

3.Reason why delete the snowman: It's not really relate to my double page although the effect of the  background is snowy. But it's just my opinion.




                             

Final Magazine Double Page

Here is my Double Page. The difference between the final and the improvement 3 is I deleted the candy stick and the book in order to make the whole page more professional. I also moved the texts up because in improvement 3, some texts are on the edge so readers can't read it. And I checked again whether there's any spelling mistakes. Now I'm quite happy with what I've done.  

Final Magazine Cover Page

Here my final magazine cover page by using Photoshop. The technique I use was easy(eg. using the Magnetic Lasso Tool to cut along the edge of an image;using the tool which can draw shapes), but they are really effective and I'm quite happy with that. I try to include all the elements in my magazine, their make my magazine look more professional therefore can help me attract my customers to buy it. 

There also some improvement:
1. I make my masthead much bigger than before, so readers can clearly separate the masthead and the  headline.
2. I only chose 5 different fonts on the Cover in order to make it more professional, I also delete some informations for people easy to read through it.
3. I change the colour of the puffs, now it can relate to the pink font much better.

Magazine Bar Code Creation

When I check out the elements on my magazine, I found out I forgot wrote the price of my magazine.

                                             

I put it in Photoshop and used type tool set a price of £1.50 per month. 

Double Page Article

Here is my Double Page Article, I typed it in a word document. This is a interview of my Cover Star Sherry, I tried to do some efforts using colours to separate the question from the reporter from CMB Magazine and the answer from Sherry in order to make people easy to read it and appeal my target audience, and I'm quite happy with the result I've done.

Final Magazine Content Page

This is my final magazine content page. It just has slightly differences than the "content page improvement 1", including:
*Change the font of all numbers in the page.
*Use the column to develop the text at the bottom.
*Amend the title of cover story.
                 

This image is the advertisement of my magazine. I found this photo from Google Image. The reason why I chose this image is because Taylor Swift is one of the most popular country singers now, she has a really high reputation and a great influence.

Double page Improvement 2

I put my double page into Indesign this lesson.When I've done that, there still an area of blank space. Because my issue was published during Christmas, So I just put a snowman on it.

This lesson I found out there's a little bit crowded at the bottom of the content page, so I remove the cover date to the top. This image is the screen shot from Indesign.

Magazine Advertising Poster

This is my magazine poster. I try to include:--the publishing house I was chosen--tag line--The website--perks subscription--gifts for subscription--cost. The background and the ukulele I have been chosen can let the readers know the genre of my magazine. Hope this poster can focus people on my magazine.

Double Page Improvement 1(Using Photoshop)

From the feedback of Sally, I try to complete the blank space on my double page today. I added a board with a short sentence which can relate to my article and wrote the contact details(website) of CMB magazine, I think it looks better now.

Evidence Of These Images On Cover Page

 This image I took in 2013 in the school theatre. I'm a member in the orchestra of our school, we had a exchange performance with a small band from America, and I took it on the auditorium as a souvenir.

This picture is from my aunt in America. I knew she went to see the concert of Tim Mcgraw before, so I just ask her sent me this image for help.

These three images I took in China for the poster of our band, I think it can clear performance this is a music magazine, the wooden gaiter can show the genre of the magazine as well, so I use it again.

During the tweak week, I found out I have made a big mistake on my cover page. The text on the puff which is on the top left side, I wrote like this: THE UK'S BIGGEST GIG GUIDE. At that time I thought gig means "music", but now I realized it represented rock genre, so I change it into: THE UK'S BIGGEST COUNTRY MUSIC GUIDE.
